Sixteen people under one roof works beautifully when a few decisions are made before arrival. Assign rooms early, agree on two shared meals for the week, and leave the rest of the days completely open.
Split the cooking rather than sharing it. One family per dinner means nobody spends the whole trip in the kitchen, and the grocery run happens once instead of every afternoon.
Use the house zones. Our larger properties have a quiet living room, a deck and a fire pit for a reason — three separate spaces mean three different paces at the same time.
Finally, tell your host what you actually want. Private chefs, boat rentals and late check-outs are all arranged in a single message, and doing it before arrival keeps the week free of logistics.
